the small isles (Eigg, Muck, Rum, Canna) and Ardnamurchan. These small isles are a magical paradise. Here, rays of light dance through cloud formations to a melody of only nature’s choosing, and to capture this, you must experience it. Although rather secluded in comparison to some of the other islands, I never miss an opportunity to island hop amongst these ‘little treasures’.

The island of Muck is like an observatory to all the other islands. From its north coast you can see Canna, Rum, Skye and Eigg. From its South coast you can see the most westerly point of Scotland – Ardnamurchan and in the distance Mull, Tiree and Coll. From these islands too, I feed my obsession to paint the magnificent Cuillin of Rum.
