The beauty that engulfs you when you first visit the shorelines is overwhelming. With colours and light that you normally associate with the tropics, constantly you have to remind yourself that this magical landscape is Scotland. These islands are radiant with an abundance of endless isolated beaches, grass-topped dunes, surrounded by thick blankets of machair.
